Dr. Khan is a Sports and Exercise Physician with a keen interest lifestyle diseases, which include diabetes, obesity and hypertension, as well as chronic pain. He promotes the use of exercise and healthy lifestyle changes in the management of chronic diseases.
As a sports medicine physician, he has significant specialised training and experience in both the treatment and prevention of illnesses and injuries affecting the musculoskeletal system. He provides comprehensive medical care to athletes, sports teams, active and sedentary individuals who are looking to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Sports medicine physicians specialise in the non-surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Khan uses diagnostic ultrasound in the clinic and is trained in the use of injectables and other non-surgical techniques used in musculoskeletal intervention. His medical expertise allows him to treat patients with a diverse range of conditions, including work-related injuries, low back pain, sports injuries, among many other musculoskeletal conditions.
For the past 10 years he has worked as the team physician for the Trinidad and Tobago National Hockey Team, and was recently appointed as the National Sports Doctor for the Guyana Olympic Association. He has also served on the Trinidad and Tobago Boxing Board of Control, applying his knowledge as a ringside physician.
